Depression To Become Tropical Storm

The season's sixth tropical depression was moving in the Atlantic Ocean Sunday night, on course to become a tropical storm Monday, forecasters in Miami said. [more]

At 11 p.m. EDT Sunday, Tropical Depression Six was located about 1,395 miles east of the Lesser Antilles, moving toward the northwest at 12 mph, the National Hurricane Center said. The general motion was expected to continue for 24 hours.

Maximum sustained winds were near 35 mph with higher gusts.
