22nd February 2006

Entertainment is the name of the game for Apple and they are ready to rock the world again with…Well, we still don’t know with what, but the Cupertion company sent out invitations to the media for an event which will take place on February 28th. [more]
Another invitation to an Apple event which appeared on the some web sites some time ago has proved to be just a fake. This time is for real. As usual, the invitation is cryptic and has no clues if it is about iPod or Macs. Unlike other events, this one will take place in Apple’s campus and not at the San Jose theater or Moscone West keynote hall.
So, let’s speculate a little, which is not so hard when it is about Apple. The company is surrounded by a lot of rumors and the event may be a good opportunity to unveil something new about its new line of MacTels. Until now Apple announced only MacBook Pro and maybe it’s time for a iBook or a Mac Mini.
On the other hand during January Apple registered a new patent, called Mobile Me and maybe it will launch a mobile phone, a iPhone. Apple launched during last year, with Motorola, an iTunes compatible phone which failed to attract customers.
Other possible announcements include new video content deals for iTunes, a larger, touch screnn iPod, new Power Macs or a new iPod shuffle.
