A 45-year-old Minnesota woman has decided to place nearly everything she owns up for auction on eBay in an attempt to get a fresh start in [more] life.
St. Paul resident Lisa Perry told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune that she doesn't see the unusual move as a mid-life crisis, but a chance for her to start over with only some clothing, her photo albums and her pets.
"This might be midlife, but it's not a crisis," she said. "It's midlife excitement."
With more than 300 items up for auction on the Internet site and an end date of this Thursday, the massive sale will soon give her a chance at starting over.
The top bid for the entire lot was only at $152.50 on Sunday night, but Perry has placed her minimum accepted bid at $2,000.
No matter how the auction pans out for the process server, she told the paper that the entire experience is incredibly liberating.
"It's good stuff, but I have so much," she said. "I don't need it all. I don't use it all. I just have it all. Actually, it has me."
