TRITTON Technologies announced the Audio Xtreme PC (AXPC)
True 5.1 Surround Sound USB gaming headphones, giving PC gamers the ultimate
5.1 audio experience. Most new games and movies are [more] created with 5.1
channels of audio. While other headphones may claim 5.1 sound, simulated or
emulated 5.1 deprives gamers of truly experiencing all 5.1 channels of audio
and special effects.
The AXPC features a total of 8 speakers, 4 in each ear cup
(center, front, rear, and subwoofer). Integrated into the in-line audio
controller are volume adjustments for the individual sound fields, master
volume control, volume mute and mic mute. The audio controller also has a
specialized chipset that amplifies each of the 8 individual speakers ensuring
optimum sound quality. Located on the left ear cup is a removable microphone
that is ideal for online gaming and also for use with VoIP phones such as
Skype, GoogleTalk, and Yahoo IM.
The USB 2.0/1.1 interface allows for plug-n-play
installation and true digital sound quality. If you are listening to audio that
was recorded in stereo, included software will allow you to simulate 2.1, and
up to 7.1 surround sound. The integrated Rumble Technology will blow listeners
minds, giving a more realistic and engrossing game play.
Gamers can select from 23 different EQ settings to customize
their listening experience whether it is a game, music or a movie. With the
AXPC, users can tell their teammates when someone is sneaking up on them, enjoy
a movie in its original audio format, hear a CD like they have never heard it
before, or place calls using their preferred chat client, all with one headset.
