Survey respondents say that playing casual games with their children or grandchildren helps them relate. According to GameSpot Pop Cap Games posted the results on a survey taken to 7.500 adults. Ok so the results show that 70% of them said that games have an educational value, 68% said that casual games help improve hand-eye coordination and dexterity, 48% said that the aspects of the games have positive benefits.
About a third of the 7.500 adults said that hey have children or grandchildren that play games in their home, and 80% of them play with their kids. A staggering 92% said that by playing casual games together with their children, helps them shorten the gap between the two generations.
Psychologist Carl Arinoldo, writer of Smart Parenting, stated that "Casual games span generations in ways that traditional 'hardcore' video games never have... Casual games seem to promote more of a cooperative 'let's work on this together' type of atmosphere, as opposed to an aggressive, interpersonal competitive environment."
