Ubisoft confirmed that only the PS3 version of the futuristic FPS called Haze is currently in development, with no plans to bring it to any other platforms.
Ubisoft said that Free Radical's sci-fi first-person shooter Haze is now being developed solely for Sony's PlayStation 3 platform.
Originally, Haze should have been released as a multiplatform title for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 this spring. But, in May, Ubisoft said that the PS3 had become the "favorite" development platform for the upcoming FPS and that the game would be released in November as a "timed-exclusive" for the PS3 (meaning that the version for Sony's console would have been launched a week earlier than the version for the two remaining platforms).
Recently, Ubisoft changed its statement, saying that currently only the PS3 version of Free Radical's shooter is in development. The French publisher also said that in the future they might establish other partnerships, but currently the game is planned only for the PS3. A spokesperson said, "The official statement on PC and Xbox 360 is that these platforms are not confirmed."
David Doak, Free Radical director and co-founder, said that the pre-alpha build of Haze that was running on PS3 test kits at this year's Game Convention in Leipzig was indeed destined to debut solely on the Cell-powered platform.
The Free Radical's Web site and the official Haze site are also built around the PS3 version of the game.
