Both GameStop and EB Games say that the game ships on September 9 this year, while Amazon schedules Bethesda's upcoming RPG for September 28.
While doing some research on Fallout 3 for a preview of the game I stumbled upon the pre-order page at Amazon.com. Until now (I had checked it before) it only mentioned "this item has not yet been released" but today the same page says
"this item will be released on September 28, 2008. Pre-order now!" .
Usually Amazon is a reliable resource but it's not bad to check your info from three different sources, like the BBC does. So I went to EB Game's site and searched for the same item and...guess what? Although it says
September 9, 2008, the launch date is still September right?
But wait, there's more:
GameStop's page says the same thing, September 9, 2008 (yeah, I know GameStop and EB Games are practically the same online stores, but still...)
.
Of course, Bethesda's site has noting certain about this and no official announcement was made concerning Fallout 3's debut. But from the first teaser-trailer presented a year ago, we know it's
"fall 2008"... And September 2008 is a part of
"fall 2008", right?...
