God of War: Chains of Olympus |

Did you miss those nasty fire-blades tied to Kratos' hands lately? Good
news for y'all: the champion of the Greek Gods is back, with more
brutal finishing-moves and... a lot smaller.
At the end of God of War 1 for PlayStation 2 there was the famous battle between Ares and Kratos, when the latter suddenly
inflates and
reaches God-like proportions. You won't see the same augmentation
happening in Chains of Olympus, since we're talking about the Kratos
before the events in GoW 1 and because...well...the PSP has a smaller screen;).
Eric Koch, Senior Producer on God of War Chains of Olympus, recently
announced that the highly-anticipated prequel has gone gold and that
Kratos' fans will be able to maneuver his chained fire-blades again on
March 4.
Asad Qizilbash, who works for the marketing department and is in charge
of making GoW CoO more appealing to gamers (as if we're not already
drooling...), has also offered a sneak-peek at the advertising
campaign readied for the PSP title. Besides
a couple new images depicting Kratos', we now know that there is
another site available on the Web, at
www.darknessreveals.com,
which indicates the name of the advertising campaign and also reveals
something about the plot. Right now, clicking on the link will lead you
to the
PlayStation official page of GoW Chains of Olympus, but once the advertising machine starts its engines, we'll probably have different content there.
It appears that
"in the beginning there was darkness" and that
"long
before his battle with Ares, Kratos was a servant to the Gods. Ordered
deep into the underworld, the Ghost of Sparta is faced with an
impossible choice: redeem himself or save the ancient world from
eternal darkness". Booo...
The box-art for the special edition of the game can be found
