As the days go by, the "co-op movement" makes more and more additions to its lines of upholders, and that's a very good news. It's also very encouraging to see publishers eager to adopt a development approach that sustains the concept of people playing togheter and simultaneous the same title, a feature that in other games either it's being dropped out or never meant to be included, despite the potential.
It seems that X06 is the best place to start, and now is Eidos Interactive and Pivotal Games turn to reveal a title that supports co-op play, exclusively for Xbox 360 and PC. The game which has a release date scheduled for 2007, allows players to assume control of an elite agent duo, which as a result of a government call, begins to clean up dirty messes all around the world. Although there isn't any novelty in the following statement, producers also mentioned that in addition to the expected co-operative gameplay (with two people involved), when playing alone, the player can swapp between the two characters at will (Codename Outbreak, anyone?).
